Not fifteen hours after arriving on Earth, the end of the universe far behind him (space, time, meh), the Master sensed her - and chased the sense all the way up to bygone ruins (built by humans) in the Orkney Islands.
Where she sat, waiting patiently while sipping at her tea, sitting on the edge of what was left of the wall.
The Doctor said we were the last two Time Lords. Then how...? And an answer appears instantly in his mind: basic Gallifreyan biology:
No Time Lord can sense the presence of a relative.
"I am the Master," he told her.
She shrugged. "I am the Foreman," she replied in kind, knowing things that he didn't know of, just as he knew things that she didn't know of.
By the time Susan's done with him, he has no intention of revealing her existance to the Doctor...but he does have an inkling of a plan, since she was kind enough to pave the way for him to enter the upper echelons of the Ministry of Defense.
